Inspire Shift Consulting (“Inspire Shift”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia and other applicable laws. This policy applies to our website, training and consultancy services, and event bookings.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Contact details – name, email address, phone number, and company/organisation name, submitted through our contact form or when you reach out to us.
  • Booking and attendee information – when you register for a training programme or event, we collect details such as your name, email, phone number, employer, job designation, and (where required for HRD Corp claim purposes) IC number.
  • Billing and order information – billing name, address, email, and phone number processed through our online store for ticket purchases and invoicing.
  • Payment information – see “Payment Processing” below. We do not directly collect or store your full credit/debit card or online banking credentials.
  • Newsletter subscription details – your email address, if you opt in to receive updates from us.
  • Technical data – IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies collected automatically when you visit our website.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To process and confirm your training or event bookings and issue tickets, receipts, and invoices.
  • To communicate with you about your bookings, enquiries, or our services.
  • To prepare attendance records, certificates of completion, and supporting documents your organisation may require for HRD Corp (HRDC) claim submissions.
  • To process payments through our payment partners.
  • To send you newsletters or marketing updates, where you have consented to receive them. You may unsubscribe at any time.
  • To improve our website, services, and customer experience.
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Payment Processing

We offer the following payment methods for training and event bookings:

  • Online Banking / FPX (via toyyibPay) – your payment is processed directly by toyyibPay, a licensed Malaysian payment gateway. We do not receive or store your full bank login credentials or card details; toyyibPay handles this data under its own privacy and security policies.
  • Company Invoice / HRD Corp Claim (Bank Transfer) – for organisations paying by bank transfer or claiming fees through HRD Corp, we issue an invoice and process payment manually. No card or online banking details are collected for this method.

4. HRD Corp (HRDC) Claims

If your organisation intends to claim training fees through HRD Corp, we may collect additional attendee information (such as IC number and job position) and share invoices, attendance records, and certificates of completion with your organisation and, where necessary, with HRD Corp, solely for the purpose of supporting your claim. Submission and approval of HRD Corp claims remain the responsibility of your organisation and are subject to HRD Corp’s own terms and eligibility criteria; Inspire Shift does not guarantee claim approval.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functioning correctly (for example, shopping cart and checkout functionality), to remember your preferences, and to understand how visitors use our site. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the website may not function properly as a result.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:

  • Payment processors (such as toyyibPay) to complete transactions.
  • Our event ticketing, email, hosting, and IT service providers, solely to operate our website and deliver our services.
  • HRD Corp and/or your employer, where necessary to support a training claim as described above.
  • Regulators, authorities, or professional advisers, where required by law.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including to comply with accounting, tax, and legal record-keeping obligations (such as those relating to HRD Corp claims), after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Under the PDPA, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Withdraw your consent to marketing communications at any time.
